Canada Day & Conversation Circle Cancellations

The ESL Conversation Circle will be cancelled on the following dates:


  • Friday, June 29.
  • Wednesday, July 4 
  • Friday, July 6


The Library and Learning Commons will be closed Saturday, June 30 - July 2 for the Canada Day long Weekend.  It will also be closed on Friday, July 6 for the 2018 Stampede Parade.

Looking for ways to celebrate Canada's one hundred and fifty-first birthday?  

There are lots of free family Canada Day events in and around Calgary on the long weekend.

Writing Circle Discontinued

We will no longer be offering the Writing Circle program.  The last Writing Circle will be on Thursday, May 24.

The ESL Conversation Circle will continue as usual.

Students can still get writing help in the Academic Success Centre, N266.

Conversation and Writing Circles Cancellations

The May 18, Friday afternoon Conversation Circle will be cancelled.  There will still be a morning Conversation Circle on May 18.

The Monday, May 21 Writing Circle will be cancelled due to the Victoria Day long weekend.  

The library will be closed May 19 - 21.

There will be no Writing or Conversation Circles on Friday, March 30 and Monday, April 2 due to the Easter long weekend.

The library will be closed from March 30 to April 2 inclusive.

LONG NIGHT AGAINST PROCRASTINATION



Need more time and less stress?  We can help.

The library will be open late on Friday, March 23 from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm!

Get extra research, library, and computer support, and take some time to unwind with yoga,  meditation, zumba, ping pong, board games, adult colouring and origami activities.

You can also spend time with therapy dogs in our puppy room, generously sponsored by the Students' Association of Bow Valley College.

Free $1 print cards and refreshments will be provided for all attending students. 

Bagged dinner will be provided to students who register by March 22 at the library or onlin

End-of-semester Circle Cancellations

The ESL Conversation Circle and Writing Circle are cancelled from December 11 to January 12.

The circles will start again the week of January 15.

Join Us for Long Night Against Procrastination!



Need more time and less stress?

We can help.  The library will be open late on Friday, November 17 from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m!

Get extra library and computer help, and and take some time to relax. There will be board games, puppies, movies and popcorn, Zumba, yoga, colouring, ping pong and origami activities.

All students at the event will receive a free $1 print card, a study survival bag and refreshments.

Bagged dinner will be provided to students who register here by November 16, 4:00 p.m.

Safewalk will be available.
